On 10.6.06, I get to watch Aikawa Nanase (相川七瀬) performed live at Fort Canning. This is the first time I attended a live concert. In fact, this is one of the rare times for a J-pop artist to perform live in Singapore.
Aikawa Nanase is the finale act for the first night of Pop Village. Being the Queen of J-rock, Nanase attracts the largest crowd that night with fans screaming passionately and wilding for her.
Nanase did a fantastic job that night singing 8 songs in total. The concert opens with "R.U.O.K.?!", the lead track of her latest mini album "R.U.O.K.?!". The Queen of J-Rock then performed some of her all-time classic "トラブルメイカー", "midnight blue", "夢見る少女じゃいられない" and "Sweet Emotion". Nanase sings two other new songs "FLY TO RAINBOW RAY” and “EVERYBODY GOES"; before she close the live with an emotional rendition of "ダリア -She Knows Love-".
Despite being requested badly by all fans, Nanase did not perform her signature tune "Lovin' you".
