Aid Japan Through Design

"Unshaken Love" is a series of 5 postcards I created for the "Aid Japan Through Design" charity campaign.

About "Aid Japan Through Design"
"Aid Japan Through Design" is a charity postcard campaign initiated by my senior Joy Ang Tze Qi on 16th March 2011 to raise funds to help the victims of the Sendai Earthquake / Tsunami.

As of 31st March 2011, "Aid Japan Through Design" has receives 800 designs by 77 contributors from Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. Donors get to purchase a random pack of 10 postcards. 100% of the proceeds are donated to Singapore Red Cross. All production cost are sponsored by Tze Qi.

Pek Sin Choon Tea Merchant is an established tea merchant in Chinatown. The task is to revitalize the packaging for target audience aged 16 to 30.

Traditionally, Pek Sin Choon uses paper to pack loose tea leaves. However, paper cannot protect the tea leaves from moisture and aroma corruption. Thus, the aim is to infuse contemporary illustration and technology with essences of the traditional paper packaging.

Hence, the revitalized packaging introduces self-lock paper box for loose tea leaves, buffalo-shaped paper tea bag enclosed in airtight envelope and ready-to-drink cup.


Revitalized packaging comprising self-lock paper box, tea bag envelope, tea bag and cup.


Tea bag envelope & tea bag.


Self-lock paper box will lock by itself by pushing the corners towards the centre. The box is easy to pack and store, while the lock protects the tea leaves from moisture and aroma corruption.


Ready-to-drink cup brings convenience and caters to target audience fast pace of life.
