"大好きだよ。" is another of my favourite song from Otsuka Ai. Similar to "金魚花火", I purchased this single for the beautiful instrumental.

"大好きだよ。" is a ballad performed by a mini orchestra and arranged with a little rock sound added. An interesting point to take note is that the demo of "大好きだよ。" is the song that convinced avex to sign Ai. Therefore, it is fairly clear on the standard of this song and how addictive the song is.

"大好きだよ。" has a very sad pv, showing beautiful memories of Ai with her dying boyfriend. An alternate pv is included in her 2nd album "LOVE JAM". The animated version features Ai's self-drawn cartoon rabbit character "LOVE" and this is the pv that introduced me to Ai.

The ballad-rock B-side "フレンズ -サバカン ver.-" is the theme song of the drama "東京フレンズ" starring Ai as a member of a girl rock band named サバカン. Ai's band performed this song in the drama. I prefer the album version of "フレンズ", because the ballad arrangement suits the lyrics and melody better.

With 2 excellent songs included, "大好きだよ。" is my 2nd favourite single of 2004.
