Geography Geylang District is located approximately 4km east of the City in the Central East Sub-Region, East Region.
Geylang District is bounded by Aljunied Road, Sims Avenue, Geylang Lorong 1, Geylang Road and Sims Way to the west; Guillemard Road, Geylang River, Dunman Road, Onan Road, Joo Chiat Road, Joo Chiat Terrace, Lorong 101 Changi Road and Langsat Road to the south; Still Road, Jalan Eunos and Eunos Link to the east; Airport Road and Macpherson Road to the north.
Geylang District covers an area of approximately 721 hectares, ranking 25th among the 27 districts. Geylang District housed an estimated population of 149,096 residents as of June 2017, ranking 18th among the 27 districts. Geylang District has a population density of 20,677/km².

Geylang District comprises 7 Estates (Geylang Estate, Geylang Serai Estate, Macpherson Estate, Geylang East Estate, Kampong Ubi Estate, Jalan Eunos Estate and Haig Road Estate).

Geylang Serai Estate contains 1 neighbourhood (Geylang Serai).
Macpherson Estate contains 1 neighbourhood (Macpherson).
Geylang East Estate contains 1 neighbourhood (Geylang East).
