Geography
Kallang District is located approximately 2km east of the City in the Central East Sub-Region, East Region.
Kallang District is bounded by Serangoon Road, Lavender Street, Rochor River, Kallang Basin and Marina Channel to the west; East Coast Parkway (ECP) to the south; Fort Road, Mountbatten Road, Geylang River, Guillemard Road, Sims Way, Geylang Road, Geylang Lorong 1, Sims Avenue and Aljunied Road to the east; Macpherson Road to the north.
Kallang District covers an area of approximately 781 hectares, ranking 24th among the 27 districts. Kallang District housed an estimated population of 90,925 residents as of June 2017, ranking 25th among the 27 districts. Kallang District has a population density of 11,646/km².

Division
Kallang District comprises 4 Estates (Kallang Basin Estate, Kallang Airport Estate, Tanjong Rhu Estate and Kallang Riverside).
Kallang Basin Estate contains 7 neighbourhoods, namely Kallang Basin Neighbourhood 1, Kallang Basin Neighbourhood 2, Kallang Basin Neighbourhood 3, Kallang Basin Neighbourhood 4, Kallang Basin Neighbourhood 5, Kallang Bahru Industrial and Kolam Ayer Industrial.
Kallang Airport Estate contains 2 neighbourhoods, namely Kallang Airport and Stadium.
Tanjong Rhu Estate contains 2 neighbourhoods, namely Tanjong Rhu East and Tanjong Rhu West.
Kallang Riverside contains 2 neighbourhoods, namely Kallang Riverside and Kallang Gaswork.
In total, Kallang District is sub-divided into 13 neighbourhoods.
