Geography
Punggol District is located approximately 15km northeast of the City in the Northeast Sub-Region, East Region.

Punggol District is bounded by Sungei Punggol to the west; Tampines Expressway (TPE) to the south; Sungei Serangoon to the east; Serangoon Harbour and Selat Johor to the north.

Punggol District covers an area of approximately 945 hectares, ranking 22th among the 27 districts. Punggol District housed an estimated population of 156,691 residents as of June 2017, ranking 17th among the 27 districts. Punggol District has a population density of 16,580/km².

Division
Punggol District comprises 1 New Town (Punggol New Town) and 1 Estate (Ponggol Point Estate).

Punggol New Town is divided into 6 neighbourhoods, namely Punggol Neighbourhood 1, Punggol Neighbourhood 2, Punggol Neighbourhood 3, Punggol Neighbourhood 4, Punggol Neighbourhood 5 and Punggol Neighbourhood 6.

Ponggol Point Estate contains 2 neighbourhoods, namely Ponggol Point and Punggol Downtown.

Punggol District also includes 1 Park (Pulau Serangoon).

In total, Punggol District is sub-divided into 9 neighbourhoods.
