Geography
Queenstown District is located approximately 7km west of the City in the Central West Sub-Region, West Region.

Queenstown District is bounded by Sinki Fairway, Selat Pandan, East Jurong Channel, Sungei Pandan, Sungei Pandan Kechil, West Coast Highway and Clementi Road to the west; Sungei Ulu Pandan, the eastern perimeter of 91 – 99 Grove Drive, the western and northern perimeter of the former Raffles Junior College campus, Rail Corridor, North Buona Vista Road, Holland Road, Lorong Mambong, the back alley of Lorong Mambong and Lorong Liput, the back alley of Taman Warna and Jalan Hitam Manis, the northern perimeter of Commonwealth Crescent precinct, the northern perimeter of Esso Queensway petrol kiosk, the eastern perimeter of Ridout Tea Garden, the northern perimeter of developments along Margaret Drive and Jalan Penjara, Margaret Drive and Kay Siang Road to the north; Tanglin Road, Alexandra Road, Labrador Villa Road, the western perimeter of Labrador Park, West Keppel Fairway and Jong Fairway to the east; the Straits of Singapore to the south.

Queenstown District covers an area of approximately 3,500 hectares, ranking 6th among the 27 districts. Queenstown District housed an estimated population of 144,362 residents as of June 2017, ranking 19th among the 27 districts. Queenstown District has a population density of 4,124/km².

Division
Queenstown District comprises 1 New Town (Queenstown New Town), 1 Estate (Ayer Rajah Estate) and 2 Sub-Districts (Pasir Panjang Sub-District and Southwest Islands Sub-District).

Queenstown New Town is divided into 7 neighbourhoods, namely Queenstown Neighbourhood 1 (Princess), Queenstown Neighbourhood 2 (Duchess), Queenstown Neighbourhood 3 (Commonwealth), Queenstown Neighbourhood 4 (Tanglin Halt), Queenstown Neighbourhood 5 (Queensway), Queenstown Neighbourhood 6 (Stirling) and Queenstown Neighbourhood 7 (Buona Vista).

Ayer Rajah Estate contains 11 neighbourhoods, namely Ghim Moh (Ayer Rajah Neighbourhood 1), Ulu Pandan, Singapore Polytechnic, Dover Road, Dover (Ayer Rajah Neighbourhood 2), Ayer Rajah Industrial, Buona Vista, one-north, Portsdown, Wessex and Normanton.

Pasir Panjang Sub-District contains 12 neighbourhoods, namely National University of Singapore, Kent Ridge, Science Park, Science Park II, Normanton Park, Alexandra, Pasir Panjang East, Pasir Panjang Village, Pasir Panjang West, Pasir Panjang Wholesale, Pasir Panjang Port and West Coast Park.

Southwest Islands Sub-District contains 4 neighbourhoods, namely Bukom, Sebarok, Semakau and Live Firing Islands. In total, Southwest Islands Sub-District contains 16 offshore islands.

In total, Queenstown District is sub-divided into 34 neighbourhoods.
