Geography
Singapore City District is located in the Central Region.

Singapore City District is bounded by Fort Road Outlet Drain, Fort Road, East Coast Parkway (ECP), Marina Channel, Kallang Basin, Rochor River, Lavender Street and Balestier Road to the east; Tessensohn Road, Race Course Road, Hampshire Road, Kampong Java Road and Bukit Timah Road to the north; Balmoral Road, Anderson Road, Orange Grove Road, Tanglin Road, Grange Road, Hoot Kiam Road, Zion Road, Alexandra Canal, Kim Seng Road, Havelock Road, Zion Road, Seng Poh Road, Outram Road, Central Expressway (CTE), Jalan Bukit Merah, Kampong Bahru Road, Telok Blangah Road, Brani Causeway, Selat Sengkir and the East Keppel Fairway to the west; and the Straits of Singapore to the south.

Singapore City District covers an area of approximately 2,622 hectares, ranking 8th among the 27 districts. Singapore City District housed an estimated population of 199,696 residents as of June 2017, ranking 10th among the 27 districts. Singapore City District has a population density of 7,615/km².

Singapore City District comprises 22 neighbourhoods, namely Singapore River, Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar, Chinatown, Outram, City Hall, Bras Basah, Rochor, Kampong Glam, Jalan Besar, Kandang Kerbau, Selegie, Newton, Orchard, River Valley, Nicoll Highway, Marina Centre, Marina Bay, Straits View, Marina South, Marina East and Keppel.
