Geography
Woodlands District is located approximately 18km northwest of the City in the North Sub-Region, North Region.
Woodlands District is bounded by Attap Valley Road, Admiralty Road West, Woodlands Avenue 8, Sungei Sembawang Kechil, Admiralty Road West, Woodlands Avenue 10, Woodlands Avenue 12, Jalan Ulu Sembawang, Mandai Road, Seletar Expressway (SLE) and Old Upper Thomson Road to the east; the southern watershed of Upper Seletar Reservoir, the western perimeter of the Central Water Catchment, Chestnut Avenue, Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and Kranji Expressway (KJE) to the south; Woodlands Road, westward projection of Mandai Road, Sungei Pang Sua, the northern perimeter of 1 to 21 Sungei Kadut Street 6, Kranji Reservoir and the mouth of Sungei Kranji to the west; Selat Johor to the north.
Woodlands District covers an area of approximately 4,715 hectares, ranking 4th among the 27 districts. Woodlands District housed an estimated population of 360,976 residents as of June 2017, ranking 3rd among the 27 districts. Woodlands District has a population density of 7,655/km².

Division
Woodlands District comprises 1 New Town (Woodlands New Town) and 2 Sub-Districts (Mandai Sub-District and Kranji Sub-District).
Woodlands New Town is divided into 14 neighbourhoods, namely Woodlands Neighbourhood 1, Woodlands Neighbourhood 2, Woodlands Neighbourhood 3, Woodlands Neighbourhood 4, Woodlands Neighbourhood 5, Woodlands Neighbourhood 6, Woodlands Neighbourhood 7, Woodlands Neighbourhood 8, Woodlands Neighbourhood 9, Woodlands Industrial Park D, Woodlands Industrial Park E, Woodlands Industrial East, North Coast and Woodlands Waterfront.
Mandai Sub-District contains 9 neighbourhoods, namely Lorong Asrama, Kwok Min, Mandai Hill, Mandai Quarry, Gali Batu, Mandai Industrial Estate, Kerepek, Zoo and Upper Seletar Reservoir.
Kranji Sub-District contains 6 neighbourhoods, namely Woodlands Park, Kranji Race Course, Sungei Mandai, Kranji Road, Kranji Loop and Kranji Way.
In total, Woodlands District is sub-divided into 29 neighbourhoods.
